Amendment 1 to the Notice Of Race

8.2 Boats requiring CSA measurement in Antigua should contact either of the CSA Official Measurers listed below by no later than Noon on Monday, February 10th 2020.

Measurement of boats in time for Registration cannot be guaranteed after that time:

8. MEASUREMENT AND RATINGS

8.1 All entries should have:

(a) In the CSA Monohull Class, a valid 2019/20 digitally-certified CSA rating certificate.

Boats without a CSA rating will be accommodated and issued a rating at the sole discretion of the Organising Authority.

Vessels racing in class 1 will race to their spinnaker rating whether or not they fly a spinnaker.

Amendment to Sailing Instructions.

Amendment 1 to the Sailing Instructions

 

9. THE START: Add

9.7 No race will be started after 14:00 on Sunday 16 February.

 

10. THE FINISH

10.1 The finish line will be between a blue flag on the Committee Boat and a nearby orange mark.

10.2 For the last race of each day, the finish line may between a blue flag on a committee boat and the outer/clear water mark which will be left to port.

This replaces SI

10.1. The location of the finish for each course will be the same as the start line, unless changed by VHF announcement.

10.2. The finish line will be between an Orange flag on the Committee Boat and a nearby orange mark.

 

13. TIME LIMITS

13.1. The time limit for each race for all classes on Saturday, February 15th and Sunday, February 16th will be 100 minutes after the start or 30 minutes after the first boat finishes in each class.

13.2. Boats failing to finish within the time limit will be scored Did Not Finish (DNF) without a hearing. This changes rules 35, A4 and A5.

17. PRIZES

17.1. Prizes will be awarded to First, Second and Third place in each class, plus an Overall Winner Trophy awarded by our sponsor Absolute Properties Antigua. Criteria for the Overall Winner Trophy will be posted at Al Porto and on the jhycantigua.com Valentine 2020 Regatta page

Amendment 2 to the Sailing Instructions

 

5. RADIO COMMUNICATION

5.1. The Committee Boat will stand by on VHF Channel 12.

5.2. The Race Committee may broadcast the following information:

a) time checks at thirty and fifteen minutes before the first start of each day;

b) the courses to be sailed;

c) notification of amendments to the Sailing Instructions and, if brief, the text;

d) any abandonment will be broadcast by the Race Committee

 

This replaces

8. MARKS

All marks of the course will be inflatable buoys labelled Budget Marine or yellow inflatable marks, except for

Five Islands. A mark and/or dinghy attached to the committee boat is part of the start mark.
